Vanity Fair's Hollywood Portfolio (2015)

February 4, 2015:

The British are coming! It may be called the Hollywood Portfolio but in 2015 the issue was dedicated to all things British! 2015 was a celebration of the success actors from across the pond have had in American films and television - particularly in playing iconic American figures. With the exception of Judi Dench, every British actor at the previous year's Academy Awards was nominated for a role in which they portrayed an American character.

More than 40 actors were featured in the Portfolio. To further showcase their domination both home and abroad photographer Jason Bell captured them at prestigious landmarks in the UK and in the US.

Tom Hiddleston and Felicity Jones went for a Bonnie & Clyde themed photoshoot on Bedford Drive in Beverly Hills. At the time (November 2014), Tom was in the midst of filming his role as Hank Williams in I Saw the Light. Felicity was nominated for an Academy Award in 2015 for her role in The Theory of Everything.

The stars were listed with their film roles and awards won. I was surprised to see how few roles many of the actors had - especially some who have been in the business for decades. But comparatively many more British actors start out on television or on stage.

Vanity Fair also released a short film for the issue.

And put the stars in the hot seat with a Q&A session. The final question was Who is your favorite royal? In a shocker, Prince Harry received the most votes with 8 (Keira, Clive, Richard, James, Matthew, Gugu, Annabelle, and Emily). The Queen was in second place with 6 votes (Kenneth, Ruth, Orlando, Jeremy, Tom, and Damian).

Fashion:

Tom was wearing Ralph Lauren Purple Label. It's a shame we didn't get to see more of Tom's outfit for the photoshoot but thankfully Tom also went with Ralph Lauren for the Met Gala in 2016.

For his grooming, they used La Mer Oil Absorbing Lotion and Kevin Murphy Night.Rider .
