April 4, 2015:
Letters Live opened it's 2015 season of shows at the Freemason's Hall in London. Letters Live promotes literacy and supports fundraising for literacy charities. This event included a diverse array of performers including: Ellie Bamber, Louise Brealey, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston, Sophie Hunter, Toby Jones, Kylie Minogue, Juliet Stevenson, and more.
This was the first (and so far only) time that Tom Hiddleston has participated in this event. Tom's good friend, Benedict Cumberbatch, has been the most active supporter of Letters Live.
"Letters Live makes us pause and imagine the lives behind the letters read and the circumstances of their origin. It's a privilege to read this most ancient of communications live to an audience. A truly inspiring event." - Benedict
The first reading Tom gave on the night was a beautiful love letter from Gerald Durrell to Lee McGeorge titled All this I did without you. You can read the full transcript here.

Next, Tom Hiddleston and Louise Brealey performed All the ladies like whiskers, a correspondence between Grace Bedell and Abraham Lincoln. Both Tom and Louise nail the accents! You can read the full transcript here.
This letter is especially funny now that Tom Hiddleston has grown his own whiskers.
"As to the whiskers, having never worn any, do you not think people would call it a silly piece of silly affectation if I were to begin it now?"
Louise shared a selfie afterwards.
The cast taking their final bows. Tom was very attentive of Juliet who was still emotional from her reading.
Fashion:
This was the first public appearance where Tom wore the Reiss coat! He also wore his Reiss v-neck shirt ($50) and Ariat roper boots ($144.95).
