Tom Hiddleston attended his first White House Correspondents Dinner (and the last WHCD for President Barack Obama). Tom arrived with Carrie Fisher and her dog, Gary. Sadly, Carrie passed away a few months after this event.
Tom paid tribute to Carrie's "indomitable spirit" at the Golden Globes. If we can take anything, a lesson. from her - it's just to live as fully as we can. To embrace our weaknesses, and that very act makes them become strengths.
The WHCD is a celebration for journalists who cover the White House, also known as Nerd Prom. It is attended my media, celebrities, and usually the President of the US as well. Tom and Carrie attended as guests of The Guardian.
He also ran into Josh Horowitz. 2 idiots found themselves at the #WHCD! Someone's been Loki'd.

After the dinner, Tom headed to the Vanity Fair WHCD After Party - where he was sure to get a snack.
He also spent some time with Gary's dog toy, a Princess Leia rubber ducky. (He mentions the story of this in the Golden Globes video above)

Fashion:
You can always tell when Tom Hiddleston is wearing Brunello Cucinelli because the trousers are always just a little bit a lot of bit too short. But the midnight blue really stood out in the sea of black tuxedos everybody else was wearing.
