February 28, 2017:
The European premiere of Kong: Skull Island was help at the Cineworld Empire Leicester Sqaure in London. In attendance were stars Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Toby Kebbel, and John C. Reilly, as well as director Jordan Vogt-Roberts. Tom hosted an intimate premiere for Unicef UK the night before.
Tom was very nostalgic on the red carpet: "It's always very special for me to bring any film that I'm in to my hometown. I remember coming down to Leicester Square when I was a kid to see movies... I feel like I spent my whole childhood running away from Kong in my head and this was chance to do it for real life. "
Tom introduced the film to the premiere audience.
Thank you so much for coming. As a Londoner, it's always very special to open a film in London. This is the world premiere of Kong: Skull Island. It is a good old fashioned Monster Munch. It is huge fun. And it's a rollercoaster ride... so buckle up, enjoy it, it's a big adventure.
