July 24, 2010:
San Diego Comic Con fans were introduced to two relatively unknown actors, Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth. Tom and Chris were there to promote their new MCU franchise Thor which had just finished filming and wouldn't premiere for another 9 months. Prior to the panel, they hosted in a signing at the Marvel booth.
The Thor panel included Kevin Feige, Kenneth Branagh, Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Kat Dennings, Tom Hiddleston, and Clark Gregg. Tom on playing Loki: the great challenge for me was that he is both the agent of chaos and also the damaged younger brother... It was terrific to combine the mischief and the relish, and the misrule and the anarchy that he creates with a truthful psychological damage...

Interview with Fandango: One of the main tropes, themes of the film is brotherhood and what brotherhood means... I wanted to develop a different (fighting) style to Chris as Thor because he's so strong. If Thor is like a rock I wanted Loki to be like the wind - you just can't pin him down..
Tom finished up his day at the Syfy - Entertainment Weekly party.
Fashion:
Tom Hiddleston wore his standard casual outfit for this time period of an Armani blazer, Intimissimi shirt, Armani Jeans leather pants, and Ariat roper boots (which he was actually gifted while working on Thor).
GQ: What's the best thing in your wardrobe at the moment?
Tom Hiddleston: I do like my cowboy boots. They were given to me by real cowboys in California when I was learning how to ride. Because I spent two weeks with their horses, when I left they said [adopts western tone] "Tom we reckon you're about ready for your first pair of Ariat's. They're boots that'll see you through about 20 years if you look after 'em, 25 if you don't." These have seen all weathers.
