The 500 Words Final was held at the Globe Theatre in London. 500 Words is an annual short story writing competition for children between the ages of 5 and 13. The event was created by BBC 2's Chris Evans to get children excited about reading and writing. The Duchess of Cornwall serves as Patron and Honorary Judge for the competition.
Nick Jonas, Tom Hiddleston, Jacob Anderson, Julie Walters, and Warwick Davis were among the celebrity presenters on hand for the event.
Tom took to the stage to discuss his first play, The Wind in the Willows and "sang a little song about a motorcar". Tom also talks about this during one of the Emergency Lessons videos.
Tom Hiddleston also read The Sands of Time written by 10-year old Clara Cowan.
For her story, Clara Cowan won the silver prize in the 500 Words competition. The silver prize winner receives the Duchess of Cornwall's height (5'6) in books.
