Tom Hiddleston kicked off Emmys weekend in rehearsals with his co-presenter Priyanka Chopra. Priyanka teased fans with a post from inside the studio. (They met again during the Ralph Lauren 50th Anniversary show in 2018).
Later, He headed to the Evening Before the Primetime Emmy Awards Party hosted by Jeffrey Katzenberg: The Evening Before is a celebration of the achievement of a few, and an opportunity for the generosity of many, so that MPTF can provide care and service to everyone in our business. Tom was pictured alongside fellow Emmy nominees Rami Malek (who won that year for Mr. Robot), Jack McBrayer, and Courtney B. Vance (who was nominated in the same category as Tom and won for The People v. O.J. Simpson)

The 2016 Primetime Emmy Awards were held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The stars of The Night Manager Tom Hiddleston, Olivia Colman, and Hugh Laurie all walked the red carpet together. This was Tom's first nomination and first time attending. The Night Manager had a total of 12 nominations, ultimately winning two!
Tom and Priyanka set hearts racing with their dramatic entrance onto the stage to present the award for Outstanding Directing for a Limited Series, Movie, or Dramatic Special.
The award went to Susanne Bier, who directed The Night Manager. Tom told US Weekly: My favorite part of the night was presenting Susanne Bier with her directing award. It was a real pleasure for me because we spent eight months on that show and I'm so happy for her."

Tom ended the night celebrating at the AMC Networks Emmys Party, alongside his co-star Hugh Laurie.
There was a feature in GQ Magazine on Ilaria Urbinati who styled several top stars for the Emmys: including Tom, Rami, Nikolai Coster-Waldau, Joel Kinnaman, Ty Burrell, Will Forte, Shiri Appleby, and Hannah Murray. The feature included some behind the scenes pictures and tidbits with Ilaria getting Tom prepared for the show.
"Tom texted me that he wanted to do a tux with piping on the lapel, which Gucci has been doing recently, so we had two Gucci tuxes made and then pulled a few other options from them. We ended up going with one of the non-custom options, which never happens, because it fit him really well. He's been doing Thor so he lost some weight in the waist and gained some in the chest and it just ended up being the best cut on him."

Fashion:
Tom Hiddleston wore a Burberry Merino Wool sweater, Jbrand Tyler jeans, Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses, and a Tissot watch for the Emmys rehearsals. He changed into his Ralph Lauren Polo Wool suit and Dalvin Oxford shoes for the pre-Emmys party. For the Awards Show Tom wore a Gucci Signoria Stretch Wool Twill tuxedo with a trademark Gucci Bees bowtie, pleated shirt, and patent leather shoes. Tom also wore Montblanc Meistertuck cuff links. A week later, it was announced that Tom was the new face of the Gucci Tailoring campaign.
