BAFTA Awards (2015)

February 8, 2015:

Tom Hiddleston attended the BAFTA Awards at the Royal Opera House in London. Tom missed the show in 2014 because his run as Coriolanus at the Donmar Warehouse was extended.

Tom chatted with Zoe Ball on the red carpet. He recently was a guest on her radio show as well. He gave an update on Loki and when we could see him on stage again. In another interview he reminisced about performing with Eddie Redmayne while at school. Kind of. Tom also mentioned some of the proposed filming locations for Kong: Skull Island (Camodia, South America, Iceland). Ultimately, the film was made in Hawaii, Australia, and Vietnam.

Tom reunited with his Jaguar commercial co-star Mark Strong to present the award for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director, or Producer.

The award went to Stephen Berseford and David Livingstone for their film Pride.

Some backstage pictures from before and after Tom came off stage. You can spy Jesse Eisenberg sitting next to Tom. I think they would work well together in a film since they are both very cerebral actors.

Tom kicked off his birthday celebrations early at the post BAFTA parties. First, he stopped by the Grosvenor House in London where he ran into the former Incredible Hulk, Edward Norton.

The other Hulk didn't need to get angry, because Tom also spent time with Mark Ruffalo!

Then he hit up the Weinstein party with his good friend Benedict Cumberbatch. Obviously this was pre- sexual harrassment allegations. The Weinstein Company acquired the rights and acted as distributers for Benedict's film, The Imitation Game. Benedict was nominated for a BAFTA in 2015 for his role in that film. As far as I know, Tom has never worked directly with Harvey Weinstein or the Weinstein Company. This was held at the Rosewood London, which is also where Tom spent a night as the real life Night Manager.

And no night is complete without some Saxophone Hiddles action! These pictures were taking by Chris Miller who co-writes the Lego movies. Sadly, the Lego series is set in the DC universe so Loki can't make an appearance but Tom would be a perfect choice to voice any other character. Just saying!

Fashion:

After wearing Armani to the BAFTA Awards in 2012 and 2013, Tom Hiddleston switched it up with a black, peak label tuxedo  from Alexander McQueen. I believe that he was also wearing the Poitier leather shoes from Mr. Hare.
